Pita Chips!!!

Sorry for the picture quality I was lazy and used my macbook's camera :P

Yes, it's been a very productive week. This morning I got an early call into work with one of my managers who is now a gluten free girl (recently found out she was allergic to gluten). So I had gone to Trader Joe's and picked up some gluten free pita bread meaning to make some pita chips for her. Well I forgot and this morning reminded me so I made them before work and brought her some and it made her day ^_^

Ingredients
4 pita breads (white or wheat, gluten or no, any kind)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon coriander power
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

You can vary any of these spices as well as amounts, experimentation often brings about great finds. Or spilt your pita bread and try different spices on one batch.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Take pita rounds and cut into 1/8s. Take the oil and again I opt for the ziplock bag ( just makes life and clean up easier), mix the spices into the oil and add your pita chips. Shake and mix bag until the pita pieces seem fully coated. Then empty bag on to a cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
